On 3rd May 2026, Lucini London proudly became official sponsors of Glifting Girls, one of the UK’s most exciting women’s fitness and glamour competitions. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s event marked a special milestone for the Glifting Girls team and was also the first show to be held at the MECA venue in Swindon.
The event brought together athletes, fitness models, performers, sponsors, and supporters for a full day of competition, confidence, and empowerment. For Lucini London, it was also our very first women’s fitness competition partnership and an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
Our Amazing Ambassadors
The day began with the Lucini London team arriving early to set up our pop-up swimwear stand inside the venue. Positioned alongside major fitness and supplement brands, the stall quickly became a busy part of the event with guests browsing our latest bikini collections throughout the afternoon.
As part of the sponsorship partnership, Lucini London was invited to host an exclusive catwalk showcase alongside an official Lucini-sponsored swimwear competition category. Seven Lucini ambassadors travelled from across the country to represent the brand on the day including Zara Vickers, Chloe Harvey, Lily Pringle, Zowie Saunders, Hannah Longworth, Jody Hamilton Smith, and Toni Melvin.
As the ambassadors arrived, the atmosphere backstage quickly came to life with photos, rehearsals, and excitement ahead of the catwalk showcase.
The Lucini Bikini Catwalk Showcase
The main Lucini London catwalk took place before the first event interval, featuring our ambassadors confidently walking the stage in signature Lucini bikinis while performing elegant poses and stage movements under the lights. Adding to the experience was a huge LED video wall displaying both the Glifting Girls and Lucini London logos behind the stage, creating an incredible visual backdrop for the showcase.
Two official competitors, Shannon McCann and Kelsey Douthwaite, also joined the Lucini catwalk while competing in other fitness categories throughout the day, further highlighting the connection between fitness, confidence, and swimwear fashion.
The Bikini Body Competition Category
One of the highlights of the event was the exclusive Lucini-sponsored swimwear category, where contestants took to the stage wearing a range of striking bikini looks. Several Lucini ambassadors stepped onto a fitness competition stage for the very first time, making the experience especially rewarding for the team. Throughout the competition, contestants impressed both the judges and audience with their confidence, stage presence, and dedication to fitness.
The category results saw Kelsey awarded 1st place, Lily Pringle awarded 2nd place during her first ever stage appearance and Jody Hamilton Smith awarded 3rd place.
A Busy Day at the Pop-Up Stand
During the event intervals, the Lucini London stand remained busy with visitors exploring and purchasing bikinis from our flagship collections. Popular designs sold throughout the day included the Olivia White, Kalliste Pink, and Pearl Luxe Turquoise bikinis, with many customers finding it difficult to choose just one favourite.
Meeting customers in person, introducing new visitors to the brand, and watching the community interact with our collections made the event an incredibly rewarding experience.
A Spectacular Grand Finale
The event concluded with the spectacular Themewear finale, where finalists returned to the stage in dramatic themed outfits featuring huge wings, sparkling embellishments, and glamorous styling. The round created an unforgettable visual finale to the competition, with sequined bodybuilding-style bikinis glittering under the stage lighting as the finalists made their final appearances.
Kelsey later went on to win the overall Glifting Girls 2026 title after competing across multiple categories including Bikini, Fitness Model, Swimwear, Pin Up, Elegance, and Themewear. As overall champion, Kelsey received the Glifting Girls 2026 diamond, tiara, and sash alongside multiple sponsorship and photoshoot opportunities.
An Incredible First Fitness Event for Lucini London
Glifting Girls 2026 was an incredible introduction to the world of women’s fitness competitions for Lucini London. From meeting Hannah, Natalia, and the wider Glifting Girls team to seeing our ambassadors confidently represent the Lucini on stage, the entire event was filled with positivity, support, and empowerment.
It was also an absolute honour for the Lucini London team to step onto the stage to award the winners of the bikini category, celebrating the confidence, strength, and dedication showcased throughout the competition.
